MARK OSHIDA

Mark Oshida has redefined the life of an artist in the 21st century by achieving global success as both a businessman and a violinist. As a Managing Director at the investment firm, Cambridge Associates, he is an advisor to the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and family offices. As a violinist, he has performed with many of the most renowned ensembles, including the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Boston Pops. Mr. Oshida has lived on four continents and has worked and/or performed in more than 40 countries.  A graduate of Harvard University (MBA), the Royal Academy of Music (MA), and Brigham Young University (BS), Mr. Oshida resides in London.

Michael Jameson started to play the cello at the age of 5, and today freelances as an orchestral cellist in London and with regional orchestras in the UK. He has worked with some of the world’s leading conductors and soloists, and is also active in the field of commercial recording for film and TV. He has performed concertos by Haydn, Dvorak, Elgar, and Shostakovich, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations and the complete Bach Suites, and was also cellist of the Wessex String Quartet. He plays on two exceptional cellos by John Betts and Joseph Panormo. Also in demand as a writer and lecturer, he has given talks and presentations at major centres in Europe and the USA, and has written several books and more than 5000 articles for most of the world’s leading classical music journals.
