MICHAEL FINE

Grammy Award winning recording producer

The art of the concertmaster is even more mysterious to the average music lover than that of the conductor yet the role of this individual is equally important.  It requires not only a musician with complete mastery of the violin allied with a broad musical culture encompassing the entire repertoire and the charisma required to lead a large group of musicians.  Igor Gruppman has all of these attributes and has honed them to perfection leading a number of the world's finest orchestras.  For me, as a recording producer, knowing that Igor is sitting in concertmaster's chair is an assurance of good results.

VALERY GERGIEV

"Sharing experience brings tremendous results sometimes. Talking about Igor Gruppman, who is my very good collegue, [...] I believe he has a lot to say, and it will be very good for young people".
